Installation
The download is called 'findreplace.lrplugin.zip' and you should unzip it.
You should now have a plugin called 'findreplace.lrplugin' which on Mac has its own plugin icon and on Windows looks like a folder called 'findreplace.lrplugin'.
Sometimes unzipping results in the plugin being inside a parent folder which is also called 'findreplace.lrplugin'. If this happens, just rename the parent or drag the plugin out of it (the parent can then be deleted).
The plugin is installed via Lightroom's Plugin Manager.
- Using Explorer or Finder, move findreplace.lrplugin to a convenient location of your own choosing.
- This can be anywhere on your computer that makes sense to you
- But avoid folders that the operating system may treat as "special", for example Downloads or Modules
- A good choice is in a subfolder of Documents, for example, or you might create a LR plugins folder next to your catalogue, or even on Dropbox so the plugin can be accessed by more than one computer.
- In Lightroom Classic, from the File menu, open Lightroom's Plugin Manager.
- Click the "Add" button.
- Browse to the plugin and click "OK" on a Mac or "Add plugin" on a PC.
Registering the plugin
If you have donated towards the project you should unlock the trial version using the registration code that you should have received.
- Open the plugin manager from the File menu.
- Choose jb Search + Replace from the list of plugins.
- Enter your registation code into the User Registration section,
- You should see a green tick.
- If you copy and paste the code, be careful not to paste in blanks at the start or the end.
